Spaghetti and Meat Sauce
This recipe is something that my family has been making for a very long time! We've enjoyed it countless nights in the Winter, and continue still to make it as a comfort dish! This is truly one of my favourite things that my family has made, and I can't wait to share this all with the rest of you!
This takes a total of 20-30 minutes to make and serves 6
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound Ground Sweet Itallian Sausage
- 1/2 Jar of Marinara Sauce
- 1 box of Penne
- 1 cup shredded Mozzerella Cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2tsp garlic powder
- 1/2tsp oregano
- 1/4tsp basil
- pinch of rosemary
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees, and begin to boil a large pot of salted water.
2. Pour your pasta into the water once it's brought to a boil and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until al dente
3. In a medium sauce pan, heat a Tbs of Olive oil. Then add your Sausage, letting it cook on medium heat until the underside starts to brown.
4. Add the sauce into the medium pan, then your seasonings. Let it cook for 5 minutes or until all the meat is browned.
5. After the pasta and sausage has finished cooking, layer the sauce and pasta ontop of each other in a 7x11 glass casserole dish, top with Mozzerella.
6. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese has melted and browned
